The Trumpeter Swans Are Here!
Monticello "Swan City," is host to nearly 1,100 Trumpeter Swans during the winter months. The Mississippi River is a home for the swans during the winter, thanks to the nuclear generating plant upstreaam which provide the Swans an ideal wintering vacation spot. The protected viewing area for the public is located at 117 Mississippi Drive. Viewing season occurs from mid-November through the end of February.

The next Monticello Treasure Chest Drawing will be at Business After Hours on Wednesday, March 10th at the Station Bar & Grill 5:00-7:00pm. Here's how it works: The Chamber Office is gathering items from Monticello Businesses. Every Chamber member business name will go into a drawing one time, each month, for a chance to win items from the Monticello Treasure Chest.
