Becoming a member of the Monticello Chamber of Commerce & Industry will provide you with opportunities for:

        Marketing

• Referral by Chamber staff – we refer exclusively to Chamber businesses. Your information is available 24/7 through the Chamber’s website.
• The Chamber office features a display area for members’ brochures, pamphlets, and business cards. We will also distribute your promotional flyers.
• Free ribbon cuttings or visits by the Chamber Ambassadors for free publicity.
• Free listing on the Chamber website including the opportunity to link to your business website, add your logo, description of your business, business hours and include your photo and business profile for better recognition and exposure.
• Offer member-to member benefits in our newsletter to promote your business. 
• Offer an opportunity to provide us with a couple short lines to promote an activity, new employee, company update about your business in our weekly e-newsletter.
• Free listing in the printed Chamber member directory.
• Our Chamber Newsletter keeps you up-to-date on events, business/governmental concerns and community activities as well as an opportunity for advertising.
• Inserts in the monthly newsletter are an economical way to advertise.  Provide us with 500 copies of your flyer and we will add it to the monthly newsletter.
• Internet Advertising - we offer your business an opportunity to advertise on our website for a minimal fee.  Your box ad can be designed by office staff and will link directly to your website.  Coupons are another option to add to our website.  Contact the chamber staff for more information.
• Your membership supports the Chamber’s marketing of the area through public relations, internet, trade shows advertising, etc. to bring customers to you!

        Networking

• Monthly Chamber luncheons (approximately 75 members attend) provide opportunities to network with other local businesses and stay current with community happenings.  Each month we provide an educational speaker.
• Good Morning Monticello offers businesses a chance to host a networking event at their location.  Businesses provided coffee and doughnuts (or often times a complete breakfast) and the business community has the opportunity to network in a very informal enviroment. 
• Business After Hours - join other businesses in the community after work for some casual conversation.  Hors d' oeuvres provided.  
  
  Community Involvement

• The Chamber of Commerce & Industry is involved in many community events. Community events offer many businesses the opportunity to meet their customers first hand and get their business name out into the community. Call us – we’d be happy to give you information on the next community event!
  
  Education     
  
• Chamber-sponsored speakers and seminars will give you continuous business training throughout the year.   New...Leadership Management Courses coming soon (October 2010, call the Chamber office for details).  This is an eight month program with topics specific to business leaders.  Sign up for the entire eight month program and participate in a monthly breakfast roundtable or pick the class that is important to you and register individually. 
  
  Advocacy
  
• Opportunity to express your opinions about issues impacting your business and to be part of a collective voice. Let the Chamber serve as your advocate.
• Your membership supports the Chamber’s involvement in issues that affect the health of the community.
  
  Insurance Savings
  
• The Auto-Owners Insurance Company offers significant rate reduction for Members of the Monticello Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Please contact the Foster, Carlson & White Agencey at 763-295-2614 for more information and a no obligation proposal. 
  
  Grow Minnesota
  
• The Monticello Chamber is part of  MN Chamber's Grow Minnesota program that emphasises business retention and addresses other business needs.  This program also provides the city with viable new business inquiries from the State of MN.  If you would like to be a part of this committee and visit with our area businesses, or if you would like chamber staff and volunteers to visit with your business, please contact the chamber office.
